4 Donek Boardercross Riders Make World Champs Team

Donek Athletes on the Snowboardcross World Championships Team

Next week will be a busy and important one for Donek athletes. Senna Leith (USA), Stacy Gaskill (USA), Quentin Sodogas (FRA), and Jin Woo (KOR) are going to the Snowboardcross World Championships in Sweden.

With less than a year out from the 2022 Olympics in Beijing this competition is huge for these athletes. The whole snowboardcross schedule has been cut short with host countries pulling out due to COVID, making less room for mistakes and almost leveling the playing field.

Not only will they have to keep up their talents on snow, but they will also have to be extra cautious to take a holistic approach to health and life as they will be getting tested daily for COVID. Any indication of infection or contact tracing will lead to their denial into the competition.

On a similar note, just recently during X-Games, multi medalist and points leader Mark McMorris had to pull out of the competition just for this reason. In fact, in the contest before the whole Canadian world cup team had to pull out of the Laax world cup due to contact tracing of a team member testing positive.

With a whole new game to be played out there, the Donek World Champ team has their work cut out for them and we know they can handle what is on the plate.

These athletes are going to be riding Donek’s own B1 and B1s snowboardcross snowboards designed exactly for this purpose…supporting a world cup athlete’s dream of success.

Think of our team members next Thursday and Friday and send out some positive vibes. Want to watch it? Look for the schedule below or at the FIS website
